Meet Your Counselor

Darlena Cochran, Licensed Professional Counselor

Hi, I’m Darlena Cochran — a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC), with a heart for helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and reconnect with their most authentic selves. I have a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and counsel adults (18+) dealing with a variety of issues such as grief & loss, depression, anxiety, and other concerns.

My approach to counseling is warm, collaborative, and rooted in evidence-based practices. I primarily draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and somatic-based techniques to support healing and growth. At the core of my work is the belief that true healing begins when we feel safe enough to be fully ourselves, and my goal is to help you reconnect with your strength and your voice.

Creating a safe, trusting environment is a priority for me and an essential part of the therapeutic process. I want every client to feel seen, heard, and supported. Whether you are seeking clarity, healing, growth, peace, or simply someone to walk alongside you during a difficult season, you are welcome here.

Outside of the therapy room, you’ll often find me soaking up the healing power of nature — running, paddleboarding at the lake, spending time with my husband and dogs, or enjoying life’s quiet moments. I bring that same grounded presence and authenticity to the therapy space.

Let’s work together to help you reconnect with who you are — and who you’re becoming.
